Basic numeracy skills consist of understanding fundamental Arithmetic like addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
School aged student are required to have substantial aspects of numeracy which includes number sense, operation sense, computation, measurement, geometry, probability and statistics.
A person who can manage and respond to the mathematical demands of life is considered “Numerically Literate”.
The emphasis on Numeracy skills needs to start at an early age. Children who struggle with Numeracy will become youth and adults who struggle with Numeracy.
